 The “Rauch” of God

The Christian life can only be successfully lived by the power of the Holy Spirit. This is how God has ordained it. We go only so far in our own ingenuity, discipline, ideas, methods, living by principles, and energy. God never intended for us to live our life in Christ in our own strength. When we receive Christ, the Holy Spirit is given to us to empower our lives. But we must actively engage the Holy Spirit to fill us from day to day and give us the where-with-all to live a Christ-filled life.

“And do not be drunk with wine, for this leads to dissipation, but be filled with the Holy Spirit, constantly and daily.” Eph 5:18

“Be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God that you may be able to stand firm against the tricks and schemes of the enemy.”  Eph 6:10-11 (Victory in spiritual warfare is only attained by the power of the Holy Spirit)

“And my message of the gospel was not in persuasive words of wisdom but in demonstration of the Spirit and power, that your faith should not rest on the wisdom of men but on the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:4-5

The meaning of the Hebrew word Ruach is “breath,” or “wind,” or “spirit.”.
