Becoming like Christ for the sake of others

Crazy-Faith-Steps 9/6/16

From A Friend: “May you–above all else–see yourself as someone Jesus loves. May His affection for you heal you in the deepest ways and inspire you like nothing else ever has. May His saving grace and enabling power compel you to dream with Him, believe in Him, and take crazy-faith-steps because of Him. May every lesser voice and every lying circumstance fall by the wayside so that all you hear is His voice in your ear saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it.’ Nobody’s opinion matters as much as God’s. Nobody can save, heal, redeem, and refresh like Jesus. Walk intimately with Him today. His will for you is your best-case-scenario.”

No matter what, despite any difficulties in this life, the worshiper exalts in the God of their salvation.

 Prayer Needs This Week

** From Laurel Sternberg in Israel: Please join me in praying for miraculous healing for 15 year old, Dan, from the Ukraine. His parents plant churches there, and the father works as a teacher. Needed are finances for an orthopedic operation

** From Dianne Baskevitch’s sister Suzanne: Please pray for Pastor Phil (lives in another state), badly injured in a motorcycle accident last week. He has suffered  head and neck trauma, along with broken ribs and cranial bleeding. He is still on a vent with a chest tube to prevent pneumonia.

** Geoff & Lisa Williams: “Pastor, could you add Lisa and me to the prayer requests for next week? Last week I stopped all 7 Anti-biotics on this brutal “napalm” Lyme program. That means we need to restore my gut flora and microbiota (which has been eradicated with the bugs over 6 months of treatment). We also have to restore my immune system, rewire my polarity, clear the toxins left behind, etc. Most importantly, as Dr. Gary Arthur said, “We need to teach and instruct your body to live well now.” Please pray that all the “good” bacteria God designed into my body are restored, and that the Lyme has been defeated. And that Lisa would have the energy to keep doing her amazing care-giving.”

For Sawdust artist Dawn Spurlock: fighting to live with pancreatic cancer as well as an infection in her liver. Dawn is a very sweet lady and a part of Mary French’s extended family. Pray for her salvation also.

** From Friends in the Philippines: “Pastor Jay, please pray for our daughter Keilah. She was admitted in the hospital last Sept 2 due to Dengue Fever. Her platelet is going low. Her platelet was 85 as of 13 hours ago and she had another test an hour ago of which we are still waiting for the result. She had been having fever for 7 days now.” Noel and Jen-Jen Mapeso

And the angel cried out to Isaiah: “The whole earth is full of the glory of God.”

Note – heading to Cedar Lake (near Big Bear) with Nikki and Pixie (our Pomeranian) for three days  (Wednesday through Friday) and won’t be available. Cedar Lake has been a place of refuge, peace and restoration whenever we’ve been weary or just needed time alone. (see photo below)

Be encouraged everyone. It’s all going to work out. What God has begun He will finish.
