Wrought By Prayer

From O. Hallesby: “Do not forget that prayer is ordained for the purpose of glorifying the Name of God. Therefore, whether you pray for big things or for little things, say to God, ‘If it will glorify Your Name, then grant my prayer and help me.’’
The heavens declare the glory of God and the sky proclaims His awesome works. Ps 19:1
Scripture For Today: Psalm 91 – there is no greater Psalm on the protection that God imparts to us, than this Psalm. For the victory of those who abide in Him. The deliverance promised. And how God so graciously responds when we call upon Him in trouble.
Thursday’s Prayer Focus
- Pray for Miss Tricia, who is undergoing thyroid surgery on Friday morning at 7:30 am in Hoag Hospital Irvine.
- Some Orange County health officials believe the surge of COVID-19 in the county will take place in the next 7 to 14 days. Pray the opposite, that the virus will wind down.
- That the impact of the virus in Laguna Beach would be minimal, no matter what.
- Those finding sleep difficult, struggling with insomnia.
- Protection for the volunteers who shop for the elderly; those w/compromised immune systems
- Peace for those suffering from anxiety. From a Little Church attendee: “I have major anxiety right now and pray constantly to be healed. It’s been awful.”
