Becoming like Christ for the sake of others

What You Think, Thursday, April 9

Daily Prayer Message, Thursday, April 9, 2020

What You Think
What You’ve Said

Here’s what you’ve said in emails sent my way about the effects of the coronavirus shutdown. I’d say many of you are doing really, really well. Congratulations!

“It has been nice to have this extra time with my wife and son. We’ve become closer as a family and have been praying more together.”

“I have been reflecting on the prayer messages and realized today how much this crisis calls me to appreciate my elders, such as my grandmother who endured the Great Depression of scarcity.”

“The Lord gave me Hebrews 13:5-6:“I will never leave you nor forsake you” – so we can confidently say, “THE LORD IS MY HELPER, I WILL NOT BE AFRAID. WHAT CAN MAN DO TO ME?”

“I feel the Lord is drawing each of us closer during this time. I have had to lean on him, and seek him, as I care for my family. He is so good, and full of grace for each of us.”

“Though I have been praying daily for virus to diminish and be gone in Jesus Name, I am now fueled for more fervent prayers of belief for this to happen soon. “

Thursday’s Prayer Focus…

  • Pray for all the children and young adults, many who are confused, fearful, perplexed, missing spring sports and other activities, not to mention their friends.
  • Pray for President Trump and all the health officials who must make decisions affecting the entire country.
  • An accelerated end to the coronavirus virus pandemic
  • For the heartbreak of all those who have lost jobs, seen their businesses close and are suffering from discouragement, fear and losing heart.
  • A lady who found us on our website and needs prayer for an upcoming surgery.

Thursday’s Scripture: Philippians chapter 3, a tremendous New Testament impartation of truth, of Paul’s personal journey and encouragement.

Finally: “The word “STIRRED” means to incite to action or to awaken love. May God incite us for more of Him, stirring our hearts to leave the comfortable place.” Steve Krantz – teaching from Ezra in 2009
