Becoming like Christ for the sake of others

Prayer

Believing strongly in the power and effectiveness of consistent, persevering and committed prayer, that the exercise of our faith in petitioning the Lord can accomplish extraordinary things, we at the Little Church by the Sea place the highest value on our prayer ministry. Here is a schedule of prayer opportunities our church provides.

1. Daily Prayer and Worship
Six morning meetings held Monday through Saturday from 8:00 to 9:00 am in the “Upper Room.” This gathering centers upon worship, thanksgiving, confession, petition, spiritual warfare, intercession and personal ministry. Come for all or part of these meetings where we seek to deepen our connection with God and to stand in the gap for others.
Overseer – Pastor Jay Grant

2. Encouraging Word
Meeting on Monday evenings at 7 pm, personal prayer appointments are offered to those needing ministry in half-hour prayer slots. The focus of this prayer is encouragement, exhortation and comfort. Meets at the church.

3. All-Day Wednesday Prayer and Worship
Beginning Wednesday morning and going through the evening, we set aside a day to pray, intercede, fast and worship together as a church body, both in the Upper Room, at homes, and at work. In the Upper Room, this prayer vigil is filled by different prayer-servants, scheduled in one-hour slots.
Overseer – Pastor Jay Grant

4. Crisis Prayer
This important ministry handles emergency prayer needs, such as an accident, sudden illness, or some other urgent request. A phone call to Pastor Jay Grant will begin emails, texts and calls to Little Church’s prayer team.

5. Blue Cards
Those attending our Sunday morning services are encouraged to fill out a blue card, writing down prayer needs and requests. Each card is then prayed over during the week by teams of pastors, elders and prayer-servants.

6. Prayer Training
Learning how to pray, moving deeper into prayer dynamics and discovering the joy of prayer/worship highlights the prayer training at our church. Please check our events calendar for the next scheduled training.

7. Missions Prayer Teams
Our church sends out prayer teams to minister throughout various nations. In the past few years, prayer teams, or teachers holding prayer conferences, have traveled to Thailand, China, the Arabian Peninsula, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Indonesia, Zambia and Mexico.

8. Sunday Ministry Teams
Following every Sunday morning service, a team of prayer-servants are available for anyone in the congregation to receive personal prayer before leaving the service. Some of our most effective praying takes place within this ministry.

Prayer training is available for other churches or parachurch organizations looking to see intercessory prayer and worship released in their body.
