We all have one life to live. A life of time. Our life is measured in terms of time. We are born in time. We grow in time. We learn in time.
Time is precious. And it’s fleeting. It never stops. It doesn’t wait for anything. Once time is lost, it’s gone. Never to be regained or reclaimed. What you do with time determines how your life goes. Says Paul in Ephesians: “Make the most of your time because the days are evil.” (Ephesians 5:16)
The most successful people in life make the best use of time. They don’t waste it or take it for granted. “A stitch in time saves nine,” goes the old maxim. In other words, don’t let time slip by.
Time keeps moving. What was yesterday is gone. What is today, is the gift of time. What is tomorrow, only time will tell.
On the 22nd of October last year, I turned 75. I’ve been wondering lately, “Lord, just how much time do I have left?”
