The Passover Lamb
Tomorrow begins the Feast of Passover, the most significant of all Jewish Feast Days. It celebrates the lamb slain on the night God sent an angel of death into Egypt. When the angel came that night, if the blood of a lamb was applied to the doorpost of the house, the angel would Pass-Over that home. In John 1:29, when John the Baptist saw Jesus, he said, “Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.” Every lamb slain for the Feast of Passover, celebrated every year, pictures Jesus who shed His blood that we might be forgiven of all our sins.

Wednesday’s Scripture – John chapter 1, perhaps the most well-known of all Gospel chapters; full of stunning revelation.
