The Heart of Heaven
This is a prayer not only relevant to the hour we are living in, but for any time of life.
“Let everyone cry out to God and lift their hearts to Him, as if they were hanging by a hair and a tempest were raging to the very heart of heaven. And in truth there is no counsel and no refuge for them except to lift up their eyes and hearts to God and cry out to Him. One should do this at all times for we live in a dangerous world.” Martin Buber
Friday’s Prayer Needs…
- A mother with a severely disabled son. Living together, the shutdown has been very stressful. She owns a house that she rents and the tenants are not paying the rent. Her mortgage payment was due yesterday. She needs the mortgage payment deferred and strength and wisdom in dealing with her challenged boy.
- Two families in which a daughter has completely cut off communication, in one case for a year, in another, many years. Pray for reconciliation, and a restoration of a heartbreaking loss.
- Hope for those who have lost jobs or businesses and have no idea what the future holds.
- For God to annihilate the coronavirus, smash it, kill it, deliver the earth from this darkness.
- Emotional and mental relief for those struggling with this continued isolation. Very difficult for some.

Friday’s Scripture: “But as for me, I shall sing of Your strength, yes I shall joyfully sing of Your lovingkindness in the morning, for You have been my protection and a refuge in the day of trouble.” Psalm 59:16
