 Loving One Another

God has created the church, the Body of Christ to excel at two things. First to love God with all out heart, all our soul, all our mind and all our strength. And then we are called to love one another. With everything we have. To bear each other’s burden’s. To be gracious and kind and encouraging. And to esteem others as more important than ourselves. We are to be like God to each other, who being rich in mercy and full of love met our hearts and gave us hope, refreshing our soul. Like that remarkable firefighter in the photo above.

Thursday’s Prayer Need -I guess this would be both a call to pray and a tribute to a remarkable man, Ravi Zacharias, who passed yesterday. I had a teaching CD of his in my truck sound system this week, and have listened to his sweet apologetic style for years. The mark of a true man is gaining the respect of those who greatly disagreed with him. Ravi did this. Like David, he experienced failure but entered into a full repentance. He was, in my opinion, an extraordinary man of God.

Finally: God pardons like a mother, who kisses the offense into everlasting forgiveness.– Henry Ward Beecher
