Daily Prayer Message, Tuesday, May 26, 2020
Final Daily Message
On Tuesday, March 16, the church closed to all meetings due to the expanding pandemic and I began writing a daily prayer message, substituting it for the morning meeting and to additionally be posted online for the entire church. I knew beyond any shadow of a doubt that prayer is the catalyst to change and battling an epidemic head on. Both Old and New Testament makes this abundantly clear.
Eventually a Zoom morning prayer time was started but as we stayed closed and the COVID-19 virus escalated, I continued to write a daily message. I love writing and truly enjoyed communicating encouragement to you regularly. And I so appreciated your feedback. Some was very touching.
Now the virus appears on the decline, people are starting to get out and churches will be opening again. Though there are still concerns about the virus, the worst hopefully is over. So this will be the last daily prayer message. I will continue to write a once-a-week prayer letter on Mondays, as I have been doing for the past 12 years. I want to thank all of you for praying daily these past 10 weeks. I believe it has made a difference.
“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13
“Since the day we heard of it, we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God, strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience, joyously giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.” Colossians 1:9-12
