I posted the “That’s My King” video a couple of years ago but it is so good I am posting it again as I have since then added many new people to my address lists. It was Sandy Davis who commented back then, “I always wanted to be a black preacher,” and Kori Kelso who said , “This is one of my favorites and I so needed to hear it.” So click the link below and sit back and enjoy the energy, enthusiasm, anointing and joy of one of the best messages I have ever heard. And I have a feeling some of you are going to let out a good shout after listening.
“That’s My King” by SM Lockridge
What I Felt: I could feel several emotions as I listened to Rev. Lockridge including my faith rising, the joy of hearing God extolled, wanting to worship when it was over, and an appreciation for passionate preaching. He’s probably not everybody’s cup of tea but I have a feeling lots of you drank deeply of his words.
Jeff Mather and Fitz Maurice Tie the Knot
A traditional kiss at the end of the wedding ceremony? No, at the beginning and I have never seen it before in all the many weddings I’ve officiated over the years. Fitz reached the end of her entrance and Jeff just swept her into his arms and kissed her with all he had. Overwhelmed I would say with the beauty of his soon bride-to-be. The audience loved it and so did I. This was a favorite wedding of mine and a highlight was the many guests who attended, dressed in a Victorian theme. The inside of our church looked like a set for Masterpiece Theater. What a great idea. Fitz was stunning and wore just a beautiful dress. (photo – Mary Hurlbut)
A very dapper couple at Jeff and Fitz’s wedding – Ed and Linda Orem
